Hot Space is the tenth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on May 21, 1982.
In most cases, it is this album that fans of the band call the worst. Brian May believed that their team simply chose the wrong time of release, since the record itself is close to Michael Jackson's incredibly popular Thriller at the time. The album is made in the funk-rock style, although there are such styles as: prog rock, hard rock and even disco. Perhaps the band was pushed to this by the innovative "Flash Gordon". The successes include "Las Palabras De Amor" with a chorus in Spanish (written by May partly under the impression of the Latin American tour, partly because of the Falklands campaign), dedicated to John Lennon "Life is Real" with cold keyboard passages and expressive text and, of course, "Under Pressure", written by the band in collaboration with David Bowie. In support of the album, a powerful concert tour was arranged, which the public liked, but the disc itself remained experimental.
