Original 1980 Live Album Remastered On 180g Vinyl 2LP!
Now the remastered reissue is also available individually, as breakouts, either on three CDs or as a double LP.
When Fleetwood Mac released its first live album in December 1980, it captured the legendary band's most iconic lineup on stage demonstrating the full scope of their collective, creative powers. Recorded mostly during the world tour for Tusk, Fleetwood Mac Live delivered a double-album's worth of exhilarating performances that included massive hits like "Dreams" and "Go Your Own Way", "Rhiannon" and "Don't Stop".
"Live" was originally released on December 8, 1980. It was the first live album of the then current line-up of the British-American rock band with Lindsey Buckingham (guitar, vocals), Stevie Nicks (vocals), Christine McVie (keyboards, vocals), John McVie (bass) and Mick Fleetwood (drums, percussion). The album captures the band in their most iconic line-up, which showcased the full range of its combined creative powers on stage.
Rhino gives the band's live debut a much-deserved encore with a new 2-LP release that features a remastered version of the original release on vinyl.
Recorded largely during the world tour for "Tusk", "Fleetwood Mac Live" was an album full of exhilarating performances, from big hits like "Dreams" and "Go Your Own Way", "Rhiannon" and "Don't Stop". The majority of the double album was recorded live between 1979 and 1980, with a few exceptions: "Don't Let Me Down Again" was recorded in 1975 during the tour for Fleetwood Mac, "Dreams" and "Don't Stop" were recorded from the band's soundcheck in Paris, "Fireflies", "One More Night" and a cover of The Beach Boys' "Farmer's Daughter" were recorded during a special concert in California for the crew, Families and friends of the band.
The new double LP includes a remastered version of the original album on 180g vinyl. In addition to the "Live" album, the deluxe edition with three CDs includes a third CD with more than an hour of unreleased live music recorded between 1977 and 1982, including seven songs from the "Tusk" tour (1979-1980), four from the "Rumours" tour (1977) and three from the "Mirage" tour (1982). These great additions include live versions of "Tusk", "Gold Dust Woman" and "Songbird", as well as "The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown)", a song written in 1970 by guitarist Peter Green, who founded Fleetwood Mac in 1967 with Mick Fleetwood and Jeremy Spencer.
