BluesQuest features performances by Terry Evans, Doug MacLeod, Joe Beard, Mighty Sam McClain, Ronnie Earl, Bruce Katz, Sherman Robertson and Robert Lucas.
The sound source used for mastering is digital master. Mastering uses JVC 24bit/176.4Khz AD and digital k2. Converted directly at the manufacturing plant and finally K2 laser cutting.
Since the end of the 1980s, the label AudioQuest Music, today Sledgehammer Blues, has been producing excellent albums and with well-known blues musicians. Producer Joe Harley attaches great importance to audiophile recording quality. To achieve this, he uses analogue technology with tailor-made tube electronics. Noise reduction, compression, equalizer or limiter are avoided. As a result, AudioQuest titles sound realistic and spontaneous.
The "BluesQuest" sampler features tracks by Terry Evans, Doug MacLeod, Mighty Sam McClain and Joe Beard, to name a few. The remastering for this XRCD24 was done by Tohru Kotetsu at the JVC Mastering Center.
