In December 1997, Mariella Devia, one of the world's best soprano singers, recorded a collection of popular Mozart music at Terto Lauro Rossi, Macerata.
Mariella Devia is an Italian operatic coloratura soprano, well known for performing many roles in the bel canto repertoire.
The soprano Mariella Devia is considered by many opera lovers to be the reigning queen of bel canto. The Italian prima donna fascinates her audience with her phenomenal vocal skills and stage presence. Although internationally known and admired, it is largely ignored by the major record labels. Since there are hardly any studio productions with her, performance recordings from Italy and the USA are often sought after and sought-after.
All the nicer that a new edition of "Mariella Devia sings Mozart" is now being published with "Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart". The recording was made over four days at the Teatro Lauro Rossi, the opera house of the city of Macerata. There, in December 1997, the opera singer recorded a selection of popular works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart together with the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana. Remastered in Japan at Tohru Kotetsu's JVC Mastering Studio using K2 technology, the album is now being released for the first time on XRCD.
