Since 2000, the siblings Katharina, Christine and Veronika Schicho have been following a common musical path, inventing the cabaret band "Dornrosen" and, after more than 20 years of successful touring throughout the German-speaking world, finally celebrated their world premiere as "Schick Sisters" - in 2019 at the Vienna Opera Ball. The brilliant, loose three-way voice, which they accompany themselves on their stringed instruments double bass, violin and guitar, has now become their unmistakable trademark.
When the siblings intonate together, their sound has a unique magic that shows how closely they are connected by the invisible bond of music. Their experience helped to refine the instrumental arrangements on "A Sisters Christmas" and tell these Christmas classics with their own distinctive voices.
Pro-Ject Audio Systems now presents the vinyl edition of the Christmas album for the first time, on which the Schick Sisters have been working for more than a year to achieve this crystal clear sound. The high-quality Pallas pressing (180 grams, 33 rpm) was mixed by 12-time Grammy winner Jay Newland and mastered by multi-platinum award winner Mark Wilder at the legendary Battery Studios, New York using the DMM process. "A Sisters Christmas" is a wonderful audiophile Christmas album to enjoy!
