There are hundreds of pieces of music running backwards, so-called palindromes. However, a long-playing record playing backwards is rare. With this TACET-LP, unlike usual, the needle is attached to the 'mirror' of the record and runs outwards. Behind the apparent gag is nothing more than the will to achieve the best possible sound result and the general realization that music often begins quietly and ends loudly. It's just a pity that this phenomenon is not taken into account in the usual cutting technique, because the further the tonearm moves inwards, the more information has to be accommodated at a constant speed of the turntable per groove centimeter. As a result, at high volumes, treble suffers and distortion occurs. But this undesirable effect can be compensated for in reverse, as Tacet owner Andreas Spreer impressively proves here.
See for yourself: On this release you can listen to the 9th Symphony in E minor by the Czech composer Antonín Dvorák, played by the symphony orchestra "Concerto Budapest" under the direction of András Keller. Let us convince you of this special sound experience!
