1984 Solo Recording On 180g Vinyl LP!
Argerich's wonderful solo 1984 recording of Schumann's Kinderszenen and Kreisleriana. To preserve the greatest possible audio quality, the Schumann release sees a new split, presenting Kreisleriana, Parts 1-6 on Side 1 and Parts 7-8 on Side 2, followed by the complete Kinderszenen.
On the occasion of her 80th birthday, Deutsche Grammophon is honouring Martha Argerich with a series of re-releases on vinyl, including the highly acclaimed 1983 recording of Schumann's "Kinder-szenen" and "Kreisleriana". In order to obtain the best possible sound quality by means of shorter playing times per LP side, the page breaks have been changed compared to the original edition: the LP begins with the first part of the "Kreisleriana", which continues on page 2, followed by the complete "Children's Scenes". In keeping with Deutsche Grammophon standards, the recording was mastered from the original sources and pressed on 180g vinyl.
