Yu-Peng Chen Fantasyland (2 LP)

"Fantasyland" represents a turning point in Yu-Peng Chen's life. The multi-award-winning composer, producer and pianist composed it after his departure from HOYO-MiX "to review my creative career ... I wanted to say goodbye to the past and welcome a new chapter in my life." The album was recorded together with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Robert Ziegler and is designed as a symphonic suite. The colourful world of sound spans an arc from Indian bansuri and sitar to Japanese koto and shakuhachi to a variety of Chinese instruments. Chen is known for his melodic and multifaceted soundtracks, which he has written for film and video game productions. He received worldwide attention as the musical mind behind the open-world role-playing game Genshin Impact. The upcoming deluxe edition also includes four bonus tracks and personal lyrics by the composer.
Recently signed multi-award-winning composer, crossover pianist and producer Yu-Peng Chen is known for the richly melodic and stylistically multifaceted music he has written for a number of film and game soundtracks, and earned global fame as the musical mastermind behind the open-world role-playing game Genshin Impact.
Yu-Peng will launch his DG career on 7 November 2025 with the release of an extended edition of his album Fantasyland, recorded with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Robert Ziegler and previously issued digitally in July 2024. Future plans include an album featuring a brand-new orchestral work, scheduled for 2026, as well as recordings of solo piano pieces.
