Quite a few audiophiles are of the opinion that And Now The Green Blade Riseth is at least as good an album as the similar, much better known Cantate Domino - if not the better. Scott Hull of the New York studio Masterdisk took over the remastering of the original analog tapes and was enthusiastic about the work: "These master tapes remind me of classic recording techniques as they were used years ago. These choral works sound great on vinyl because they were recorded for vinyl What we have here is a graceful and full choir in a magnificent room. " The recording was made by sound engineer Alvin Bertil in March 1981 in Stockholm's Österhaninge Church.

The Stockholm Cathedral Choir under the baton of Gustaf Sjökvist is accompanied by organist Bengt Berg. The repertoire combines traditional and contemporary religious chorales with set pieces from folklore and jazz. Thanks to Berg's arrangements, including those for guitar, flute and piano, the 20 pieces seem familiar and speak to the listener directly, even without a spiritual context.

Fabio Camorani from the AudioNautes label released the LP at 33 rpm in a gatefold cover with detailed notes on the work and recording. The first edition of the title is limited to 500 pieces and numbered consecutively. Pallas took over the pressing on 180 gram vinyl.

This new cut, which Scott Hull made of the original master tapes in the Masterdisk Studio, New York, marks the currently valid standard. - Winfried Dulisch, Stereoplay, issue 4/2020

There is hardly any other music that is so well suited to presenting the technical sound possibilities of a real high-end system in such a differentiated way as choral music. Unfortunately, choral music often has the disadvantage that it is either exclusively sacred - and not everyone likes to have a service in the listening room - or it has the flavor of the popular. Now The Green Blade Riseth also refers to these two backgrounds, but comes along with a lightness that enables even choruses to devote themselves to this easily accessible recording without reservation. - Roland Schmenner, FIDELITY, issue 2/2020
