MONO RECORDING

Angel Fernando May, in its guide Scherzo dedicated to Wagner choose this interpretation as your first choice, and is the only one that gives you the Excellent rating, and says, Almost had to wait almost half a century to finally come to light this document legendary among the legendary, the record in the first Twilight depicted in Bayreuth after World War ii, recorded by Decca and filed to oppose EMI to its publication and have hired several of the singers. The wait has been for good, because today Kna is a director totally revalued and considered almost in general the Wagnerian maximum of the twentieth century and also for the prodigious technical restoration without repair in expenses. Naturally Kna benefits from the intense preparation of the Festival Orchestra by Karajan, but the imprint, the stamp, the style are absolutely his. Phenomenal La Varnay, Weber, Uhde,, Höngen (superb Waltraude scene) and Mödl as first Norna. The whole cast has quality. Very broad direction -the first act of longer duration among those of Kna - but fluid, rich, flexible, progressive, with a thousand details integrated into the set. The funeral march was the talk at the Festival, hearing it now understands why. Two bars of the prologue already show that here is the whole ring, that there is Origin, present and conclusion. How would the other days be disqualified by Culshaw? The careful presentation contributes to the lugro. For Collectors. Testament, has released a small number of copies on vinyl that, they say, sounds prodigiously. Wagner, in short, realized at the height of the maximum demand of his visions.
