"Venus Audio Grade Records Selection Vol.1" is a sonically outstanding compilation by Venus Records. Renowned Japanese audio journalist Masamitsu Fukuda selected a very special selection from the audiophile label's catalog for this compilation, saying, "In my research, I found that in the last three years, more than ten Venus Records releases have been recommended and featured in the "Outstanding Audio Grade Recordings" section of this magazine and other sections. I have been involved in the selection of "outstanding recordings" since the heyday of LPs. The criteria focus on sound quality, resolution, dynamic range and whether the audio system can produce a corresponding sound. It may seem like the songs were chosen casually and on a whim, but in reality, the selection process involves days of uninterrupted listening sessions. In the end, due to the limited playing time, only the tracks with the very best ratings make it onto the sampler".
All recordings on this compilation were produced, mixed and mastered by legendary sound engineer Tetsuo Hara.
Venus Records was founded in Japan in 1992 by Tetsuo Hara, who had previously worked as a producer for RCA Victor. The renowned label uses a special mastering process called "Hyper Magnum Sound" for the strictly limited double LP of "Jazz", which is cut at 33 rpm and pressed on 180 gram vinyl, which produces a powerful, present sound and is highly appreciated by audiophiles worldwide. A little hint: Venus LP reissues are only pressed once. If this is out of print, the corresponding title will be deleted from the catalogue and no longer reproduced. Collectors should therefore not wait too long to order: The releases from the "Venus Masterpiece Collection" are particularly popular!
