Various Artists Supreme Sessions 2 (2 LP)

After the success of the first sampler, the recordings for Supreme Sessions 2 took place in the Gothenburg studio of Marten Recordings in 2016. As with Supreme Sessions 1, producer and sound engineer Peter Axelsson used only two Schoeps microphones and created a two-channel recording. His many years of musical experience and his connections to the Swedish and international music scene ensure two LPs with an exciting mixture of instrumental and vocal music with different timbres.

The imposing Requiem for a Machine by the Rhythm Art Duo is one of the highlights of the album. With the title Un Poco Más, the captivating Cuban singer Lisette Hernandez Pigueiras can be heard here on her first studio recording. In addition, Supreme Sessions 2 includes music by Bartók, Piazzolla and Ravel as well as jazz standards. Play this LP with the sound level of a live concert and exploit the natural sound and dynamics to their full potential.

The mastering of the recording was done by Peter Axelsson, the lacquer cut for the LP pressing was made at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, London. Has been pressed, the 180g double LP 33 rpm in the brand-new machines of the Swedish plant, textile road Vinyl.
