At the beginning of his career, Jesse Colin Young stepped into the limelight as the lead singer of Youngbloods, whose song "Get Together" was successful worldwide. After seven albums with the band, Young started a solo career and has since released 17 albums. Song For Juli from 1973 , which he dedicated to his then six-year-old daughter Juli, is still regarded by many fans and critics as the musician's masterpiece. The relaxed, easy-going and pleasant album from the first to the last note was very well received and stayed in the American charts for over a year.
