Eddie Higgins Trio Standarts By Request 2nd Day

The titles of the two Higgins solo albums "Standards By Request ¬- 1 Day" and "2nd Day" were chosen by the readers of the popular Japanese jazz magazine "Swing Journal". From a total of forty wishes, Higgins was to make and record a selection for an album; but since he had already recorded enough tracks on the first day, a second day of recording and another album was planned. Higgins dispensed with sheet music when playing the standards, whereby he once again impressively proves his great talent.
The titles are presented in the order of recording. Absolutely successful harmonic improvisation, elegant swing, plus a great sound – the "Standards by Request" are a treat for friends of the jazz piano!
Venus LPs are pressed only once. After the first edition has been sold, the titles will be deleted from the catalogue. Collectors should therefore consider a purchase in good time.
