Christy Baron I Thought About You One-Step

The 1997 "I Thought About You" by Pennsylvania musician Christy Baron was the first of three albums the fantastic jazz singer recorded for Chesky Records. Recorded live at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Manhattan – a room with particularly warm acoustics, the album features Baron's lush, velvety voice framed by Cliff Korman's eloquent piano, David Finck's virtuoso double bass and Payton Crossley's finely nuanced drums. Baron's repertoire combines evergreens from the Great American Songbook ("Misty") with jazz standards such as Thelonious Monk's "Round Midnight" and soul classics such as Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine"). Three incomparably beautiful interpretations of pieces from Stevie Wonder's legendary album "Songs In The Key Of Life", including a sensational version of "Knocks Me Off My Feet", complete the immaculately produced album. We are pleased to be able to present this special jewel in the Chesky discography as an LP reissue – for the first time in the sonically superior one-step process, pressed on 180 gram heavy vinyl (33 rpm)!
