As a "A&R Consultant" Juan de Marcos already brought together the elder gentlemen Ibrahim Ferrer, Ruben Gonzales, Pio Leyva, Manuel Licea "Puntillita", Manuel Torres amongst others together with Company Segundo, Ry Cooder and Wim Wenders. The result was the motion picture and the two time Echo winning and Oscar nominated Soundtrack "Buena Vista Social Club" which has been charting for more than 80 weeks. The cooperation has created a Hype, which also led in 2000 sold out tours (Live From Buena Vista in May, the Solo-Open-Airs of Ibrahim Ferrer and Ruben Gonzales) and double platnium for the CD.

And here we are. Recorded at the Abdala studio, Habana, JUAN de MARCOS, apart from a wonderful ballad together with LUIS FRANK, was again the musical mastermind. This time, together with LUIS FRANK, founder of the AFRO CUBAN ALLSTARS, they connected, among others, the elder gentlemen (PIO LEYVA, MANUEL LICEA PUNTILLITA, MANUEL TORRES, RUDY CALZADO) with the younger generation of the Cuban Son.
The music of this CD recalls the joy of life, which was shown in such a good way in the movie and represents all styles which make the Cuban music so popular, no matter if you take the ballads, an unconventional interpretation of "Guantanamera".
