With "Voices" and "Private Eyes" Hall And Oates became famous, with "H2O" they capitalized on this success. Once again, Daryl Hall and John Oates master the melodic, soulful blend of pop, soul and new wave for which they became known. In 1982, when the duo had already dominated American pop, however, they went one step further with their songwriting. "H2O" is a more serious, ambitious album than its predecessors and again contains three top ten hits with "Maneater", "One on One" and "Family Man".

Clear harmonies and clear vocals, extensive dynamics and a wide, deep stage characterize the new mastering by Krieg Wunderlich, assisted by Rob LoVerde.
