Celine Dion The Colour Of My Love (2 LP)

The Colour of My Love is the third English-language album and twelfth studio album overall by Canadian singer Celine Dion. It was released by Columbia and 550 Music on 9 November 1993, in Canada and the United States, followed by an early 1994 release in the rest of the world. The songs on the album were produced mainly by Ric Wake, David Foster and Christopher Neil, and four of them were written by Diane Warren, including the album's fifth and final single "Next Plane Out". The Colour of My Love features cover versions of Jennifer Rush's 1984 single "The Power of Love", which was released as the album's lead single, and the pop standard "When I Fall in Love", recorded as a duet with British vocalist Clive Griffin and originally appearing on the soundtrack to the 1993 film Sleepless in Seattle.
The album received generally mixed reviews from music critics, with positive attention given to Dion's vocals. However, the album became a huge commercial success, topping the record charts in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and a few other European countries, and reaching the Top 10 elsewhere, including number four on the US Billboard 200. The Colour of My Love is one of the best-selling albums of all time, with sales of over 20 million copies worldwide, including six million units in the United States, over 1.8 million in the United Kingdom, 1.5 million in Canada and over one million units in Japan. Singles released from this album include the US Billboard Hot 100 number-one "The Power of Love", the UK Singles Chart number-one "Think Twice", and the Oricon Singles Chart number-one "To Love You More", which was included on the 1995 re-release of The Colour of My Love in Japan. Each of these singles sold over one million copies in these countries.
The Colour of My Love won two Junos for Album of the Year and Best Selling Album (Foreign or Domestic) at the Juno Awards of 1995, and also received the IRMA Award for Best International Female Artist Album. "Think Twice" won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, and "To Love You More" received the Japan Gold Disc Award for International Single Grand Prix. "When I Fall in Love" won the Grammy for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocal(s) and was nominated for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal at the 36th Annual Grammy Awards. "The Power of Love" was also nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 37th Annual Grammy Awards.
