Falco The Sound Of Musik: The Greatest Hits (2 LP)

On February 19, 2022, the Austrian superstar FALCO would have celebrated his 65th birthday. To mark the occasion, Sony Music Entertainment is releasing the new album "The Sound Of Music". For the first time, Falco's greatest hits are available chronologically from 1981 to 1998, from "Ganz Wien" to "Out Of The Dark".
On "The Sound Of Musik" you will find some extraordinary and rare versions of his hits:
ROCK ME AMADEUS (EXTENDED CANADIAN/AMERICAN 2022 RE-EDIT):
In 1986, numerous mixes and edits of Falco's biggest hit were produced for the international market. In total, there are about a dozen different versions. However, none of these mixes combines all the musical elements additionally produced for these new mixes.
BODY NEXT TO BODY (RADIO VERSION):
this mix was only used on a German 7" promo in 1987. In this mix, Brigitte Nielsen's moans were removed before the two verses and also in Falco's rap at the end. This mix thus contains a lot of Falco and much less Brigitte Nielsen (who is only mixed in to Falco's voice in individual verses). Is still not available digitally or on CD.
DATA DE GROOVE (FULL LENGTH VERSION):
this mix was only included on the rare German CD first edition of the album of the same name in 1990. This mix is about 20 seconds longer than the normal album version and is still only available on the rare CD first editions of the album.
ABOUT THE PACKAGING: The artwork of "The Sound Of Musik" is lovingly designed, the focus is on Falco's performance jacket, a red fantasy uniform, trimmed with golden buttons and tassels. The double vinyl is enclosed with a poster on which Falco wears exactly this jacket.
