Roy Orbison In Dreams (2 LP)
Anyone who was not musically socialized in the 1950s came across Roy Orbisons In Dreams in 1986 at the latest when David Lynch used the title for the soundtrack of his dark, surrealist thriller Blue Velvet. Orbison himself is said not to have been enthusiastic about the use of his hit at first, but it gave new impetus to his career, which stagnated in the 1970s. In Dreams is just one of the many highlights of the album of the same name.
Blue Bayou , Beautiful Dreamer and his grandiose interpretation of Cindy Walker's Shahdaroba are still stunning today. Half of the titles collected on the LP were recorded during the recording of Sings Lonely And Blue , the other half in 1963 in Nash Vegas. The 180g vinyl 45s double LP appears in a high quality gatefold cover with consecutive serial number in a limited edition.
