The RCA Victor team knew from the start that they had a superstar under contract in Elvis Presley. It was not for nothing that Sun Records had paid an enormously high transfer fee for the time in order to be able to sign the singer from Memphis. After various album successes and hit singles, the label released Golden Records Vol.3 in 1963, which in itself was a specialty. No other rock 'n' roll artist had released a second greatest hits album to date - let alone a third.

Golden Record Vol. 3 is an audiophile classic among the “King of Rock And Roll” records . A gentler Elvis takes the place of the angry young man in the first two parts. Stuck on You , It's Now or Never , Are You Lonesome Tonight? , Surrender and Good Luck Charm are just number 1 among the assembled chart hits. Bernie Grundman remastered the original analog tapes for ORG. The 180g vinyl LP is pressed as a double 45rpm LP at RTI and appears in a luxury gatefold cover with a consecutive serial number.
