Cecilia Duarte Reencuentros CD

Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, Cecilia Duartes is a versatile singer who is releasing her first solo album, "Reencuentros." For the album, Reference Recordings won multiple Grammy winner and producer Blantos Alspaugh and engineer Andrew Bradley. Duartes sings 12 romantic boleros in Spanish, accompanied by the Trio Chapultepec (Vincent A. Pequeño, Israel Alcala and William Carlton Galvez, complemented by Jesús Pacheco on percussions).
As a soloist, Cecilia Duartes was praised by the New York Times as a "creamy, harmonious mezzo-soprano". She received great acclaim for her portrayal of Renata in the first mariachi opera "Cruzar la Cara de la Luna" with the mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, commissioned by the Houston Grand Opera in 2010.
