Duets: Friends & Legends is a studio album by Canadian Country artist Anne Murray. The album features seventeen of Murray's best-known songs re-recorded as duets with her favourite female singers.
With her smooth fusion of country and pop, Anne Murray became one of the biggest stars Canada produced in the 1970s. The song Snowbird made her famous worldwide, her biggest success was the title You Needed Me, released in 1978. With him, she opened up a wide country audience. Duets: Friends & Legends was first released in Canada in 2007. The album consists of 17 songs, including many of Murray's greatest hits, recorded as duets with artists such as Céline Dion, Shania Twain, k.d. lang, Nelly Furtado, Olivia Newton-John, Emmylou Harris, Shelby Lynne, Carole King, Dusty Springfield and Sarah Brightman.
Hong Kong is a very special market for audiophile music lovers. The local branch of Universal Music has also recognized this and is therefore having some popular titles by Ball Au remixed in Hong Kong's "Sound Max Studios". The mastering clearly has the audiophile customer in mind and often differs very pleasantly from previous productions. Of course, both the PCM track and the DSD track benefit from the improved sound. The hybrid SACDs themselves are manufactured in Japan.
