Arthur Honegger, Herbert Von Karajan & Berliner Philharmoniker Symphonie Liturgique SHM-SACD

Two symphonies by the Swiss-born French composer Arthur Honegger can be heard on this SHM-SACD: The 3rd Symphony Liturgique and the 2nd Symphony for string orchestra and trumpet. The recordings with the Berlin Philharmonic and Herbert von Karajan took place in August 1969 in the Church of France, St. Moritz, and in September 1969 in the Church of Jesus Christ, Berlin. The remastering for Universal Japan took place at Emil Berliner Studios.
This title is an SHM-SACD. This format is a further development of the single-layer SACD and uses a particularly light-transparent plastic (Super High Material). It achieves a much better readability of the pit-land structures on the surface than is possible with hybrid SACDs. Universal's SHM SACDs are generally re-digitized from the albums' master tapes to DSD without any changes. SHM SACDs can be played on any SACD player. Please do not use L'Art du Son or alcohol-based cleaning products. – Attention: All tracks are designed by Universal Music as collector's items in limited edition for the Japanese market.
