Jen Chapin reVisions: Songs of Stevie Wonder Hybrid Multi-Channel & Stereo SACD

Jen Chapin, daughter of "Cats In The Cradle" singer Harry Chapin, is a New York urban folk singer, songwriter and activist with a strong sense of social justice. In 2008, accompanied by her husband, bassist Stephan Crump, and saxophonist Chris Cheek, she created the album "ReVisions", on which she reinterpreted songs by Stevie Wonder to make a musical contribution to Barack Obama's historic rise to the presidency of the United States. "ReVisions" is both a testament to Chapin's unique artistic sensibility and a tribute to the enduring appeal and relevance of Wonder's songwriting. The album also contains two pieces written by her.
"ReVisions" is a unique gem in the Chesky Records catalog. As part of the "Chesky Original Masters" series, Evosound now presents an excellent new edition of this wonderful album: The hybrid SACD brilliantly showcases Chesky's famous production and recording techniques and comes with a booklet including new liner notes and a recent interview with Jen Chapin.
EvoSound has remastered the album using hi-resolution digital transfers from the original analogue master tapes and is now available as a hybrid Stereo SACD. The hybrid SACD plays on both SACD and regular CD Players.
