Dave's True Story Sex Without Bodies Hybrid Multi-Channel & Stereo SACD

Bucking the trends – hip-hop, electronic dance music and indie rock dominated radio at the end of the 90s – Dave's True Story prevailed! The duo from New York, consisting of singer Vicky Flint and guitarist and songwriter David Cantor, provided a cool alternative in the charts with their jazzy hipster pop music. Cantor's songs on "Sex Without Bodies," the duo's debut album for Chesky Records, are funny, cultured, cinematic and peppered with literary references. Highlights include the rousing title track, the moving "Ned's Big Dutch Wife" about a woman living a shocking double life, and the original, jazzy cover version of Lou Reed's classic "Walk On The Wild Side."
The recording was made at St. Peter's Church in Chelsea and is a unique gem in the Chesky Records catalog. As part of the "Chesky Original Masters" series, Evosound now presents an excellent reissue of this wonderful album: The hybrid SACD brilliantly showcases Chesky's famous production and recording techniques and comes with a booklet including new liner notes.
EvoSound has remastered the album using hi-resolution digital transfers from the original analogue master tapes and is now available as a hybrid Stereo SACD. The hybrid SACD plays on both SACD and regular CD Players.
