Pro-Ject Audio The Audiophile Spectrum Test Sampler

Heinz Lichtenegger from Pro-Ject Audio had an idea that was met with enthusiasm everywhere: He wanted to create a series of audiophile test samplers on which the hi-fi enthusiast could not only judge the timbres, transparency, resolution and stage representation as well as the dynamic range of (his) music chain, but also have a lot of fun with the music on offer.
Thrilled by the idea of Heinz Lichtenegger from Pro-Ject Audio this sampler starts a series of analogue re-releases, „The audiophile spectrum“ perfectly combines terrific jazz music and outstanding sound quality and can also be used as test record!
The first compilation from the series "The Audiophile Spectrum" combines great jazz music and outstanding sound quality in a perfect way: Austria's leading jazz musicians around the famous Vienna Art Orchestra took part in these "live-in-studio" recordings – including international calibers such as Steve Swallow, Brian Blade and Marc Johnson. "The Audiophile Spectrum" is lively, dynamic and shows all facets of modern jazz music - with a lot of groove and drive, but also tender and gently melodic.
All recordings on "The Audiophile Spectrum" are completely analog and were made with the best microphones and analog tape recorders. The LP, cut directly from the analogue master tapes to 33 rpm, was pressed on particularly high-quality 180-gram vinyl.
