Master Quality Reel To Reel Tape!
Studio Master Copy with 2 Metal Reels!
The Bill Evans Trio with Scott LaFaro on bass and Paul Motian on drums reached its peak with its club recordings on June 25, 1961 at the Village Vanguard in New York. LaFaro died soon after (on July 6, 1961) at the age of 25 in a car accident. Evans was so shocked by the death of his bassist that he waited a long time before starting a new trio. A selection of tracks from the Village Vanguard session was compiled by Evans himself and was originally released on two albums: Sunday at the Village Vanguard and Waltz for Debby, the latter of which is presented in full here.
